Terms of service

Last updated: 25 October 2026

These terms apply when you use the PassPilot website or buy a Pass Pack. PassPilot is a trading name of Golden Goose IoT (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2025/677633/07), 12 Strandsalie Street, Village on Sea, Mossel Bay, 6506 ("we", "us"). Full company details are on our Legal and contact page.

1. What PassPilot is

1.1 PassPilot is an online practice service for the South African learner's licence test. The free version includes sample levels, a daily set of questions and one full-length mock test. The Pass Pack unlocks every level, the full question bank, explanations in English and Afrikaans, weak-area drills and a readiness score.

1.2 PassPilot is independent. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the RTMC, NaTIS, the Department of Transport or any testing centre. We write our own questions from the National Road Traffic Act, its Regulations and the SADC Road Traffic Signs Manual. They are not the official test questions.

1.3 We can't guarantee that you will pass your test. Your result depends on your preparation and on the test itself.

2. Your account

2.1 You sign in with your email address and a one-time code. Keep access to your email secure, because anyone with it can sign in.

2.2 A Pass Pack is for one person. You may not share your account, resell access, or copy, scrape or publish our questions. If we see this, we may suspend the account without a refund after telling you why.

2.3 If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy for you, and should make the purchase.

3. Buying a Pass Pack

3.1 The Pass Pack costs R99 (no VAT is charged; we are not VAT-registered) and gives 90 days of access from the moment payment succeeds. It does not renew and you won't be charged again.

3.2 Payments are processed by Paystack. We don't see or store your card details.

3.3 Before you buy, you ask us to start your access immediately. Because the service starts at your request, the 7-day cooling-off period in section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act does not apply (section 42(2)(d)). Our own refund promise is in the Refund policy.

4. Content and corrections

4.1 We check every question against the law before it goes live. If you think one is wrong, email help@passpilot.shop. We will check it and correct it within 24 hours where needed.

4.2 The law can change. We update questions when it does, but the official law and the testing centre's rules always take precedence over our content.

4.3 All content on PassPilot belongs to us or our licensors. You may use it for your own study only.

5. Our responsibility to you

5.1 We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. If it doesn't work as described, we will fix it or refund you, as set out in the Refund policy.

5.2 To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, such as re-booking fees or travel costs, if you don't pass a test. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.

6. Complaints

Email help@passpilot.shop. We reply within one working day and aim to resolve complaints within five working days. If we can't resolve it, you can contact the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud or the National Consumer Commission.

7. Changes and governing law

7.1 We may update these terms. The version that applied when you bought stays in force for that purchase.

7.2 South African law applies to these terms.
